ARCHIVING POLICY
JCIET — Journal of Computing Innovations and Emerging Technologies is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. To support this commitment, the journal implements a recognized digital preservation strategy in accordance with international best practices for open-access scholarly publishing.
All journal content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a free long-term digital archiving service developed and maintained by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. PKP PN utilizes a distributed preservation infrastructure based on the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology, which ensures that multiple copies of journal content are securely stored across geographically distributed preservation nodes.
Through this preservation system, published articles remain permanently accessible even in the event that the journal website becomes temporarily or permanently unavailable. The PKP PN preservation mechanism protects journal content against data loss, server failure, and organizational or technical disruptions, thereby safeguarding the scholarly record.
This archiving policy applies to all published content, including articles, metadata, and associated files. By implementing PKP PN, the journal demonstrates its long-term commitment to open access principles, research sustainability, and the reliable dissemination of scientific knowledge.
